How does Bloodchief Ascension work in multiplayer

Asked by Falcondc 4 years ago

If I have Bloodchief Ascension with the required counters on it and play Mind Grind do all opponents lose life at the same time or does it go one player at a time and if they were to die, it goes to the next opponent.

Edit: sorry, the cards were not loading properly and misremembered how they work.

Mind Grind: Each opponent reveals cards from the top of his or her library until he or she reveals X land cards, then puts all cards revealed this way into his or her graveyard. X can't be 0.

Bloodchief Ascension: At the beginning of each end step, if an opponent lost 2 or more life this turn, you may put a quest counter on Bloodchief Ascension. (Damage causes loss of life.) Whenever a card is put into an opponent's graveyard from anywhere, if Bloodchief Ascension has three or more quest counters on it, you may have that player lose 2 life. If you do, you gain 2 life.

To actually answer your question:

Mind Grind puts all the cards in your opponents’ graveyard simultaneously. Each card hitting the graveyard will trigger Bloodchief simultaneously.

Since you control Bloodchief, you will control the order of those triggers, so you can use that to cause Player A to lose life before Player B does.
