How do Life of Mirror Trapping and etb effects interact?

I have a Mirror of Life Trapping out, and I cast a creature with an etb effect. Lets go with Rishkar, Peema Renegade. Can I go ahead and place the counters on 2 creatures before it is exiled by Mirror of Life Trapping?
If your opponent controlled Mirror of Life Trapping instead, Rishkar, Peema Renegade would be exiled before you place the counters, but you would still get to place the counters (and in fact would choose the targets before he's exiled). The only real difference is that you will not be able to tap the two creatures for mana in the second scenario, but can in the first.

Yes. When Rishkar enters the battlefield, at least two abilities will immediately try to trigger; Mirror's and Rishkar's. Since multiple abilities are trying to go on the stack at the same time, you choose the order they go on the stack.
603.3b If multiple abilities have triggered since the last time a player received priority, each player, in APNAP order, puts triggered abilities they control on the stack in any order they choose...
If you have Mirror trigger first (so it resolves last), then Rishkar will place counters before leaving the battlefield.
