Hardened Scales Replacement or Trigger?

The situation in question is I have a Gyre Sage, Hardened Scales and a Animation Module on the BF. If i evolve my Gyre Sage does the extra +1/1 counter from Hardened Scales trigger Animation Module a second time or does Hardened Scales count as a replacement effect so both counters go on at the same time rather than two seperate instances?

It is a replacement effect. Easy way to tell is replacement effects are of the form "if X would occur, then Y occurs instead." If one or more +1/+1 counters would... then plus one +1/+1 counters instead.
