Gwafa Hazrid + Willbreaker

Just curious as to how Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer and Willbreaker work together. Because Gwafa would target something, activating willbreaker's ability and gaining control of it. Then would Gwafa Fizzle because you now own the creature or would it still go off due to the fact that Gwafa has already targeted the creature.

The activated ability would be countered. You would gain control of the creature for as long as you control Willbreaker, no counters would be placed, and no player would draw a card. If Willbreaker dies before the activated ability would resolve (either before or after Willbreaker's ability resolves) Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer's ability will resolve as normal, placing the counter and drawing it's controller a card.
