Ghostly Prison+Hexproof
Asked by MTG1814 8 years ago
If I have a Ghostly Prison and my opponent has something along the lines of an Invisible Stalker, does my opponent still have to pay a generic 2 to attack me?
Yes. Hexproof only stops spells and abilities that specifically target the creature or player. Effects that modify attacking/attack requirements are not affected by hexproof.

Yes. Ghostly Prison doesn't target. It adds a requirement for opponents to declare their creatures to attack you. They will have to pay the mana for each creature.

They do still have to pay mana for Ghostly Prison . A spell or ability only targets if it specifically says so (sometimes the word "target" is packed into the full rules for a keyword ability, like "Equip" on equipment or "Enchant NN" on auras). Ghostly Prison doesn't target, so hexproof doesn't interact with it.
