experiment kraj abilities

i have an experiment kraj and was wondering if it keeps the abilities when in the graveyard

Experiment Kraj does not keep the abilities of creatures that have been put into graveyards. It only checks for abilities with creatures on the battlefield. It would be really cool though!

Out of curiosity would Experiment Kraj work if Skullbriar, the Walking Grave actually had an activated ability? LOL interesting prospect no?

Well there are two reasons Experiment Kraj will not keep abilities of creatures when they are anywhere but the battlefield. The first, and main, reason is because they lose their counters when the creature leaves the battlefield (the exception being Skullbriar, the Walking Grave ) and the second reason is because when a card says "creatures" it's referring to permanents, as in cards on the battlefield. If it said "creature cards" then any creature that kept counters outside the battlefield would still fuel Experiment's abilities.

I believe he meant that the Experiment Kraj is in the graveyard, not the creatures with +1/+1 counters on them.

In this case, the answer would still be no. His ability is a static ability and those only work when the permanent is on the field.

Silly me, I answered late at night when my comprehensive skills were at a minimum. MetalMeister is right. Experiment Kraj 's ability only works as long as it's on the battlefield.

still if you wanted the abilities in the graveyard available to Experiment Kraj while it's in play you could always have a +1/+1 counter on Necrotic Ooze or something similar
