Echoing Decay vs various 'soldier' tokens
Asked by Metroid_Hybrid 11 years ago
Say someone is playing a token deck, and lets say (for example) they control different color varities of 'Soldier' Token(s)" produced from different sources (for example--from Assemble the Legion , Akroan Crusader , Elspeth, Sun's Champion , etc.) and I target one of those Soldier tokens with Echoing Decay , will all of the said "Soldier" tokens be affected?
I would assume so, due to all the fact that of the officially printed soldier tokens (that I know of) read "Soldier"..
And finally, I would assume this type of ruling would also extend to other common token types as well ('Goblin', 'Spirit', 'Zombie', etc..)

Unless otherwise specified, a creature token's name is the same as its subtypes. Because none of the mentioned cards specify a name for the tokens, they are all named "Soldier." Therefore, Echoing Decay and similar effects will affect all of them.
