Door to Nothingness and Redirect

So a piece of crap friend of mine lol, and I are guing about how this would work. I have Door to Nothingness out and the mana to activate it's ability and it is untapped. I activate the ability and target my opponent. In that sition could he cast Redirect to change the target to me?

Just like it says on the card, Redirect can only change the target of spells, not abilities. The only cards I know of that can change the target of an ability are Reroute and Willbender (Spellskite doesn't count in this example because it isn't a legal target for the Door's ability, so trying to change it won't do anything).
