Does Eladamri, Lord of Leaves give Prowess of the Fair shroud...?

Asked by CamraMaan 1 year ago

As printed in the updated text for the card, Eladamri, Lord of Leaves gives "Elf creatures" forestwalk and gives "Elves" shroud... does that mean Prowess of the Fair will also get shroud? Or is the Elf type only in reference to the Tribal type, and the card is not considered an Elf...? Thanks in advance! :)

Because the text of the shroud-giving ability doesn't specify "creature", that means it gives shroud to non-creature Elves as well. In fact, the rulings note in Eladamri's Gatherer entry uses this specific example:

2008/04/01 This card only gives forestwalk to other Elf creatures. It gives shroud to all other Elf permanents, including non-creatures like Prowess of the Fair.

My apologies, I feel kinda dumb for not checking. I thought this was a rather obscure question. Appreciate the help though! :)
