do spell copies count toward a storm total?

Asked by Killeary 11 years ago

for instance, if i play Lightning Bolt then copy it with Reverberate then play Grapeshot is my storm count 2 or 3?

This is the ruling text on Storm, which should apply to Reverberate's ability.

6/7/2013: The copies are put directly onto the stack. They aren't cast and won't be counted by other spells with storm cast later in the turn.

Forgot to answer the question directly but it would be two.

It's 2. The storm count is equal to the number of spells that have been cast beforehand. Simply copying a spell isn't necessarily casting one. The effect will say "Cast" if it does cast it (Elite Arcanist , for example).
