Declaration in Stone

When playing Declaration in Stone it states Exile target creature and all other creatures its controller controls with the same name as that creature. Does this mean that they also exile all cards in their hand with that same name or just the ones on the battle field.

Also note that a player doesn't control any cards that aren't on the battlefield, he/she owns them.

Just on the battlefield.
Creatures are only "creatures" on the battlefield. On the stack they would be reffered to as "creature spells" and as "creature cards" in any other zones.
