Deathtouch Marath sacrificing to shoot with or wo dt?

Marath, Will of the Wild is paired with Nightshade Peddler. He's left on two counters and I remove both to try to kill opposing Gisela, Blade of Goldnight. Do I succeed or since Marath is no longer paired, the one damage that he will deal is devoid of deathtouch?

In this case, the game will use "last known information" (aka how the permanent was before going to yard) to determine the outcome of the trigger. Thus, deathtouch will still apply and you will be able to kill the two creatures, barring any other variables.

Additionally, you do not need to remove both counters to kill just gisela in this case. Gisela rounds up any non-integer, so 1/2 is 0.5, but rounded up, it is still 1 damage, which is lethal.

FYI you do need to use 2 counters to make it work. Gisela, Blade of Goldnight rounds up the damage being prevented. If you only use 1 counter then Gisela will prevent 1/2 rounded up to 1 damage.
