Copying modal spells

If I copy a modal spell like Fiery Confluence with Riku of Two Reflections can I choose new modes for the copy?

No, a copy of a spell is identical to the original in all choices. Usually copying a spell will allow you to change targets, but unless the copy effect allows you to change something, it's locked in as what the original spell chose, including modes.
