[confusion in the ranks and token generation

Asked by insertcleverid 13 years ago

Lets say I have a Mimic VatMTG Card: Mimic Vat or better yet a Splinter TwinMTG Card: Splinter Twin enchanting a vanilla dork. I cast Confusion in the RanksMTG Card: Confusion in the Ranks and tap my dork, producing a token copy. Does the token trigger Confusion? Confusion doesn't specify "non-token", but it feels like cheating.

I believe that because Confusion in the RanksMTG Card: Confusion in the Ranks does not specify "Non-Token" creature, it will trigger it.

and yes, it does feel like cheating.

As the card doesn't state non-token creature, this effect should be legal with the Mimic VatMTG Card: Mimic Vat and Splinter TwinMTG Card: Splinter Twin tokens.

Mimic VatMTG Card: Mimic Vat's ability puts a creature onto the battlefield, which triggers Confusion in the RanksMTG Card: Confusion in the Ranks.
