Cold-Eyed Selkie with Favor of the Overbeing and Snake Umbra how many cards do I draw?
Asked by SwiftDeath 13 years ago
all the above cards make the selkie a 4/4 so my question is do I draw 4 cards or 5 because of the snake umbra.

Cold-Eyed Selkie is a 1/1 by default.
Favor of the Overbeing makes Selkie a 3/3.
Snake Umbra makes Selkie a 2/2 and grants it a draw-on-contact trigger.
If you have both enchantments on Selkie, it is a 4/4 with two contact triggers, one for 1 draw and one for draw-that-many. They are both "may" abilities, so you are not forced to draw cards if you do not want to.
You may draw 0 cards, 1 card (only drawing from the Umbra), 4 cards (only drawing from Selkie's damage), or you may draw 5 cards (drawing from both triggers).

thank you I realize the may ability and I was unsure if the draw stacked from the way it was worded.

You would draw 1, 4, or 5 cards, depending on how many you want to, because they are all you may abilities.
