Can you successfully Body Double a Clone, and have that clone become another creature on the battlefield?

This is a question that my friends and I have been debating about since it was played. If you were to play a body double that would enter the battlefield as a copy as a clone in your graveyard, would the new clone become a copy of a creature on the battlefield, or would the body double die? We've looked this up on the internet and although it said this is possible, others have also said its not, and no clear answer was given.

First Gatherer ruling on Body Double:

2/1/2007: Treat Body Double as though it were the chosen card entering the battlefield. Any "As this card enters the battlefield," "This card enters the battlefield with," and "When this card enters the battlefield" abilities of the chosen card will work.

So you treat it as if it were Clone entering and pick a creature on the battlefield to copy. It works just fine.
