Can Life and Limb trigger Grave Pact?

Asked by grumbledore 9 years ago

I am wondering how this works. If I have both Life and Limb and Grave Pact in play, and one of my Forest/Saproling land man buddies dies, does it trigger Grave Pact ?

Thanks!

Yes. The Forest will be considered a Saproling when it's put into the graveyard, and thus will trigger Grave Pact .

Yes it will. When a permanent has more than one type (like land and creature) it becomes subject to rules of all those types. So they will be creatures going to the graveyard, which will trigger Grave Pact .

Your Forest s will also have summoning sickness since they are creatures so they won't be able to tap for mana the turn they enter the battlefield.
