Can I flicker Dungeon Geists to tap another creature ?

Meaning, 2 creatures affected by one Geist if I flicker it

You can use it to tap two creatures, but the first creature will untap during your opponent's untap step.

When a permanent leaves the battle and re-enters it becomes a whole new permanent with no knowledge of his previous existence.

You can tap two creatures when you flicker Dungeon Geists , but only one will stay tapped during his controller's untap phase. When Dungeon Geists leaves the battlefield and enters again, it is treated as a different object, so the tap effect from the first tapped creature won't last.

meecht, how can you tap 2 target creatures (even if one of them will untap in the next untap step)? I'm asking because it specifically states "tap target creature", it's singular. Thanks.

The Dungeon Geists enters the battlefield, and his ability triggers and resolves, tapping one creature. When you flicker it with a spell or ability like Cloudshift , Dungeon Geists enters the battlefield a second time, and his ability triggers and resolves again, tapping a second target.

Thank you. I didn't realise that "flicker" had a particular meaning in mtg, I thought it just meant "to tap".

The term "flicker" comes from the card named Flicker that let you exile a creature then return it to the battlefield.
