Blinking question

Asked by UmbrotheUmbreon 13 years ago

If I have a creature that's enchanted or has counters on it, if I use something like Ghostly FlickerMTG Card: Ghostly Flicker on it, will it come back with no counters and the enchantments gone?

Example:

Primeval TitanMTG Card: Primeval Titan is enchanted with Pillory of the SleeplessMTG Card: Pillory of the Sleepless. If I use Ghostly FlickerMTG Card: Ghostly Flicker on Primeval TitanMTG Card: Primeval Titan, will the enchantment become unattached and go to the graveyard?

Yes. Whenever the object an aura or equipment is attached to leaves the battlefield, that aura/equipment becomes unattached (unless it also left the battlefield). In the case of auras, this means the enchantment will be put into its owner's graveyard. Blinking also resets the number of counters of all types on a permanent.

The creature will lose all enchantments and counters that were on it will be gone.

Okay and if done in response, stops kill spells and burn spells right?

Provided the burn/kill spells target, yes, blinking will counter them
