Are gods considered creature spells?

can i counter a god with a Essence Scatter . For example, i play Thassa, God of the Sea can i response counter the god. i believe i can because the card type is a legendary enchantment creature.

Yes. It is a creature spell, even if it won't be a creature when it is on the battlefield, so spells like Essence Scatter would work.

A funny this is that Annul can counter all the gods also.
