Are Auras and Enchantments the same thing?

Asked by Husky 11 years ago

When a spell or activation or effect states something about auras does it also apply to enchantments as well? are they the same thing or is there an actual difference between these two types?

If something only applies to Auras, it only applies to Enchantments with the Aura subtype. It does not apply to non-Aura enchantments such as Glorious Anthem or Bident of Thassa .

Auras are Enchantments that have the "Enchant" keyword. They are attached to other players or objects. Enchantments which are not Auras don't get attached to anything (barring shenanigans involving Mycosynth Lattice and Bludgeon Brawl ...).
