Ally is a card type?

Stoneforge Masterwork will help Angelic Captain if i have a Stoneforge Acolyte in field?

Ally is a creature type, so yes if Stoneforge Masterwork is attached to the Captain, the captain will get +1/+1 because the Acolyte is an ally. Ally is not a card type (those are Instant, Sorcery, Enchantment, Planeswalker, Artifact, Land, Tribal, Scheme, and Plane if I recall correctly).

300.1. The card types are artifact, conspiracy, creature, enchantment, instant, land, phenomenon, plane, planeswalker, scheme, sorcery, tribal, and vanguard.
