A questions about cards that set toughness/power.

On cards such as Godhead of Awe and Gigantiform, does it simply change the base toughness/power?

For example, if I have a Chimney Imp enchanted with Eldrazi Conscription, does it become a 18/18 when enchanted with Gigantiform as well, or does it become something else weird because of the rules on the card?
