Whatever happened to Secret Lairs?

Did SLs discontinue? I just realized that I haven't seen any YouTube videos, Facebook advertisements, or mentions of them in quite a long time.

Mayhaps I've been fortunate enough to nest down in the corner of social media where they aren't talked about as readily, but I am in MTG Facebook communities, very active on here, and I spend copious amounts of time on YouTube and streaming services as I relax after work with my cat.

So...? What gives?

Last one I recall was that garish Valentine's day one two months ago. God that was atrocious. Now yes it's only been two months but it felt like, for a very long time, there was a new one every couple of weeks. So surely something should have been pushed out by now?

Maybe it's just confirmation bias. I didn't hear about it, ergo it doesn't exist. Still. It does feel as though it has slowed down.

Maybe we are seeing SLs coming to an end?

One can only hope.

No, Secret Lairs are very much a thing still. They usually only ever have a sale every couple of months, so they're rather sporadic. However, in like twelve hours the April Superdrop sale is starting. Really the only things of interest in the latest one are New Capenna-themed reprints of three of the C16 commanders and Concordant Crossroads in foil for the first time.

I get pretty much all my MtG news from Reddit, as I don't follow hardly anyone in the community beyond Play to Win on Youtube and Tolarian Community College on Twitter. Usually Reddit has the latest news up almost instantly, including spoilers/leaks/announcements.

From what i understand , they·ve diversified Secret Lair into Universes Beyond . From the WH40K sets it·s apparent that they·re releasing both UB and SL , and the website seems to indicate that they·ve only just started their Zodiac killings .
