So as we've all seen, every Theros spoiler has been released. In some of those cards the flavour text has hinted some names to one or two gods. Steam Aurgary and Lightning Strike both have the Keranos in their flavour text, and they make him sound like a god.
Iroas - Priest of Iroas and Arena athlete - Flavour of it mentions winning the favour of Iroas.
Karametra - Setessan Battlepriest - Flavour text goes - Your god is bad, Karametra is awesome. We can assume Karametra is a god.
Pharika - The cards Pharika's cure and Pharika's Mender . Kinda sounds like the G/B god cause from the art we've seen a bunch of gorgons are worshipping him/her.
Phenax - Disciple of Phenax
Ephara - Ephara's Warden , flavour text goes along the lines of you insult me you insult Ephara herself.
And remember, we haven't even seen the full flaour text of each card yet! (At least, on Mythic spoiler you can't see the latest 120 full flavour text). So we may see more gods or more evidence that these are gods. Tell me if I missed anything.
They won't all be in the next set, they'll be split up over the other 2 sets in the block.

Fair enough. A cycle, regardless. Let's hope they're fun.

Multicolor makes sense if they're demigods / lesser gods, the 'true' gods are absolute so they will only be aligned with a single color.

I think Prophet of Kruphix could be a prophet to some god named Kruphix. Sound right to you guys?
September 14, 2013 10:29 a.m.
My guesses for the minor gods and their colors:
Kruphix: U/G
Iroas: R/W
Athreos: W/B
Pharika: G/B
Mogis: R/B
Ephara: W/U, maybe?
Keranos: R/U
Karametra: R/G
I know I missed the names of the G/W and U/B gods. Does anyone have any other info about what their names might be?

I think Karametra is G/W, as the only card I can find referencing her refers to the wild as a garden, which is very different from R/G but typical of G/W. There is an Oracle of Phenax that forces discard, so I suspect that is the U/B one.
I can't find a R/G god reference. There was a rumor Xenagos would try to become a god. Maybe he succeeds?

I believe that phenax would be the dimir oriented god as s/he is prayed towards at the temple of deceit which is the UB scry land

I am not sure I'm a huge fan of these, but we'll see once they are spoiled.

Xenagos' attempt at ascension is successful during Born of the Gods. (Verified at PAX.)

Are we gonna get a "Medusa" demigod? That would be badass.

@LiquidKid- theres a good chance with cards like Pharika's Cure or Pharika's Mender

That's insane. I still haven't had a chance to get my hands on any Theros as of yet.

Will the demigods be tribal? Mogis as a minotaur, Pharika as a gorgon, Xenagos as a satyr...
From the cards that have multiple colors and mention demigods: (1) Iroas W/R victory Nike (2) Mogis B/R minotaur, violent Ares (3) Keranos U/R storm/lightning Zeus (4) Athreos W/B Charon-type psychopomp (5) Kruphix U/G spiderwebs Arachne/Ariadne (6) Pharika B/G gorgon, venom Medusa...From the Battle Priest & the Acolyte, I'd guess: (7) Karametra W/G green shield w/ deer, wilds are a garden...Remaining:(8) Ephara: W/? only U is left... cities? art? architecture? Athena/Daedalus?...Leaving:(9) Xenagos? R/G satyr, anti-theist (10)? B/U ... I'm going to guess some riff on Morpheus

U/B is Phenax. it say in the planeswalkers guide or something like that that she pis prayed to at the Temple of Deceit , which is the U/B scry land.

i just pulled the blue god today and i have to say if you work a great white blue control deck all you have to do is hold out until it comes out then counter anything that targets it. its a great card and i think the concept of the god cards is pretty cool. i am excited already to see what the new set will have in store.

i would just love some Temple of Deceit for my bruise deck.

From what I've heard, there will be 10 "minor gods" in the next set. Perhaps just demigods? Either way, they'll be a guild-colored-cycle of lesser gods that inhabit the plane.
