Vintage Masters Sealed Deck Generator

Limited forum

Hey all. I've created another Sealed Deck Card Generator so you can generate 6 random boosters of the Vintage Masters cards exactly like you'd get in a pre-release.

Not all cards are available yet, but I'll add them as they're released online.

I used the exact same percent chances as my previous generators. If the frequency of anything has changes since then let me know and I'll adjust it.

Anyway, enjoy!

I got 76 white cards and 3 blue cards in my first try of the program. I do not think this is accurate to real life. It also had a black lotus in there, so I cannot complain.

There is something wrong with this generator, specifically for the p9. I get a regular Black Lotus in the rare slot and a foil (or a Time Walk in the rare slot and a foil) with no other rare. Where the p9 should be in the foil slot. It should be a regular rare/mythic and either a foil, a p9, or a foil p9.

" That's right, the Power Nine are so powerful and so format warping in Limited that we had to put them in their own rarity above mythic rare, a rarity we're calling Special.

Now here's the relationship between each of these:

In each booster pack you'll see:

10 common

3 uncommon

1 rare or mythic rare

1 premium foil card (any rarity, including the extremely rare premium foil Power Nine card); OR 1 Power Nine card "

Also we don't know the rarities of all the cards, we know that the Power 9 are special, and a few of the other rarities, but there are 100+ rares. Until the set gets spoiled with rarities, it's almost impossible to make an accurate VM pack generator, let alone a Sealed Deck Generator.

You're all correct!

Boza: I get my card data from Gathering Magic which hasn't updated their list to match wotc, so it's currently limited to what they have which is very white-heavy. I'm checking GM frequently; as soon as they update their list I'll update mine.

gufymike: Yeah someone pointed out the P9 cards are supposed to be one in every 53 boosters. I've now fixed this. It'll be pretty rare to get one of them now.

Pulled 3 ABUR duals. Man I wish that was real.

copperdogma - WotC has the entire set spoiled on their website, but they don't have the art/card frame updated, so many of the cards are appearing as of their most recent printing. All we're waiting on now is for WotC to tell us what cards are at what rarity.

JWiley: You're right. I use data from Gathering Magic as well as wotc, so what I have is sort of the lowest common denominator of both. I'll keep updating it as each site updates their lists.

copperdogma - You should put in the other green cards in the set. I've been doing the Sealed and not getting very many Green cards, and then I realized that it was because you only have 4 green cards in your set. Maybe you should pull the list from WotC instead of Gathering Magic?

I'll put the link here for the Card Gallery.

Hey JWiley129... I pull from both. It's an automated thing; I don't hand-enter the cards. So I'm sort of limited to what WotC AND GM have put out.

I could have just waited until GM caught up before posting my generator, but most people seem to like it up early, warts and all.

Keep checking back. I update the generator every time WotC or GM update their site.

Sorry if I'm not supposed to post outside links, but an unconfirmed list naming the rarities of all of the cards has been posted here

http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/magic-fundamentals/the-rumor-mill/559923-rarities

It has NOT been confirmed or sourced, but as one poster remarked, various people on Twitter are saying that VMA has been released to the closed beta. Hope this helps.
