Mana Base in KoT Limited?

Never having cut my teeth in a three color format, and with Khans Pre-release just around the corner, how are people thinking about building a mana base in Khans limited?
With most decks being solidly in 3 colors, is 18 lands and 1 mana rock going to be the norm? When can you drop the rock and go to 17? Do you include 2/3 color taplands? What else should I be thinking about?
18 lands were perfect in Alara and RtR, so that seems like the way to go.
There's plenty of fixing, so even splashing outside of your clan seems possible.

Watching the Pre-Prerelease at the Community Cup yesterday it looked like most of the time the players had no problem with their mana. Except for the guy who went a full 5 colors in his sealed deck, which was ambitious at best. With 10 common dual lands, 5 common Banners, 5 uncommon tri-lands, 1 common Mardu Warshrieker , 1 common Temur Rampant Growth (Embodiment of Spring ), Morph, 1 Rare Rattleclaw Mystic , and the 5 Fetchlands, I think we'll have enough fixing :)

Embodiment of Spring can also comfortably be used by Sultai decks, who like filling up their graveyard anyway for the Delve mechanic.

Plus, the seeded pack is going to be exclusively in-colour, and looks like it's sure to contain the Banner and a tri-land (at least the unboxing Temur vid had both) so I'm not too worried about mana bases - I think as long as nobody tries to splash 4, they'll be fine.

Can you link the Temur unboxing vid? My internet searching skills apparently are the suck.

Thank you so much for the link. Just as another note, his seeded pack also had the charm in it, too, which was a bit surprising and certainly nice. If each seeded pack gives the tri-colored land, banner, and charm, that's a really nice base for you clan to start out with. Also worth noting he pulled 2 mythics out of the other five packs. While we probably won't see that often at pre-release, it's pretty nice to see it. Mana-fixing will certainly NOT be an issue with the pre-release, that's for sure. I'm super excited now!

The mana base is really good. You have the 3 colour lands and the 2 colour lands plus the 5 banners! The fixing is great and you can splash a colour easily. Im pretty confident that 3 colour decks will be popular in Khans limited.
