Will Tamiyo, the Moon Sage drop in value?

Just wondering if you think we'll see another drop in price of Tamiyo, the Moon Sage anytime soon?

She dropped from 25 $ - 12 $ and seem to have stabilized there, just not sure whether or not I should pick her up now. It's for a casual deck, so I don't care about her rotating in the - somewhat near- future.

$12 seems pretty fair for a pretty good PW. She might drop by another dollar or so when traders flood the market with her when she rotates, but that's all I really foresee happening.

I'd mostly agree. I do think she'll drop more than a dollar just on account of her costing 5 mana (and therefore not being a serious player in any non-Standard competitive format), but even so it won't be more than $3 or $4. I could see her settling around $8, near where Garruk Wildspeaker (another good planeswalker that sees no play outside of casual) did.

That being said, I don't know if I'd wait for rotation to save a couple bucks on a planeswalker for my casual deck.

They see play in EDH, Barandis.

I don't think she'll take too much of a hit, she'll probably hover around $8-10.

because she is really not seeing modern play and she is way to slow for legacy, she will coming in around the 8-10 range. the foils in a years time will just be stupid for cost likely 30-50. because of edh players. if you have a foil you many want to hold onto it,

Because she doesn't do much of anything in Standard, rotating out of the format will only cause the slightest of drops, maybe just a couple bucks. As the years go by she'll creep up in the natural way as copies gradually drop out of circulation for being lost/damaged/destroyed, and also as new Commander players start looking for her. If she ever happens to become part of a popular Modern control deck at some point in the future then the effect will be even greater.

i realize this is kind of unrelated, but i hope one day they go back to the Innistrad plane, maybe make a new tamiyo or something. i think innistrad is the sweetest plane weve been to in a while. As for the question at hand, i think you have your answer already, shell probably stay around 8-12$ nonfoil

Tamiyo is not actually from Innistrad (the plane). She's a Soratami, which means she's from Kamigawa. We may see a reprint or a revamp in the future.

Right now, Tamiyo, the Moon Sage holds some value for being a Standard planeswalker and also seeing play in some superfriends and control decks. Rotation will probably cause her to drop to $6 or $7, but she probably won't climb back up as easily or as quickly as cards like Snapcaster Mage . She may ultimately settle at $10, but I don't think she'll stay or see any prices above that.

If she dropped to even 8 dollars, that would be awesome.

Am going to run her in my fog deck, so I am thinking that her ultimate will be brutal.
