Why would anyone want to use Abyssal Persecutor?

According to the card you can't win and your opponent can't lose if you play him. Can you maybe prevent this effect somehow?

The gist of what you usually would do with the card is pretty straightforward.

1) Beat them to less than 1 health with its undercosted and evasive body.

2) Go for the Throat (or similar) your own Abyssal Persecutor .

3) Win.

The Q&A is for rules-related questions. Moved to General forum.

My ZEN/SOM UB control deck used Abyssal Persecutor as a win condition. The deck included kill and bounce spells to get rid of the Persecutor when I was in a position to win.

You can also give it to your opponent with cards like Switcheroo .

Maybe if u can use it to get opponent to 0 or less, and this guy dies, its effect would end, and I guess it would be over? If u put a regenerate on it tho, that'd be more difficult for everyone. Lolol
