why are fyndhorn elves banned in several formats

Greetings, I have a mono-green Fynn deathtouch/toxic
snow themed deck and I like the Fyndhorn Elves for the snow and forest astetic. Functionally they are the same as the Llanowar Elves I'm not sure why this card is banned on so many formats. Can I still play with them if i'm not into official tournament play. This would be the only card that is not pioneer format approved.

Hi!
It's banned in Pioneer because the format only includes Standard-legal sets from Return to Ravnica (2012), forward, and it hasn't been printed in a Standard-legal set since Ice Age (1995).
If I was playing against you, I'd be happy to let you use Fyndhorn Elves as Llanowar Elves "proxies", but I definitely wouldn't let you play a playset of each.
