Do werewolves have to flip

pretty much the title. like Daybreak Ranger  Flip does the trigger always make it flip or ? sorry for the noob question I've never played werewolves

Well, it is all in the text. Say you start off with Daybreak Ranger  Flip , if no spells were cast this turn, then it has to flip do to the text saying so. Just read the cards mate, and if your ever confused, do your research!

yes the werewolf's transformation trigger resolves every time the requirements are met, the only time this doesn't result in the card flipping is if it was a copy of the card, like Phyrexian Metamorph or Rite of Replication .

It's pretty simple to tell whether or not an effect is mandatory. Just look for the word "may".

If a spell or ability says that you "may" do something, then that effect is optional. If the word "may" is not used, then the effect is mandatory.

As far as I know, no werewolves use the word "may" in their effects, and as such their flip effects are mandatory.
