Canopy Cover Rule Question

If I play Canopy Cover on a Inkmoth Nexus that has been made into a creature what happens when happens with the Canopy Cover when either the turn is over or the Inkmoth Nexus is killed?

Does the Canopy Cover get a new target? or is it removed from the game? It is normally a permanent that is why I ask.

Someone please post the rule that covers this because I can't find it.

Thanks,Joe

303.4. Some enchantments have the subtype "Aura." An Aura enters the battlefield attached to an object or player. What an Aura can be attached to is restricted by its enchant keyword ability...303.4c If an Aura is enchanting an illegal object or player...the Aura is put into its owner's graveyard. (This is a state-based action. See rule 704.)
Canopy Cover can only enchant a creature, because it says "enchant creature" on it (as opposed to, say, Volition Reins which says "enchant permanent"). (303.4)At the end of the turn, when Inkmoth Nexus loses its creature-ness, the aura falls off because it's no longer attached to a legal target (303.4c) and is put into the graveyard. I'm afraid you don't get to choose a new target for it.By the way, the "MTG Q&A" section linked in the bar at the top of the page is a place where you can post rules questions like this. This isn't a problem, just letting you know for future reference.

I'd like to add that Auras do NOT retarget something else unless they specifically say so or they leave and reenter the battlefield (a la Venser, the Sojourner ).

If you were to turn Inkmoth Nexus into a creature permanently (with Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas , for example), then the Canopy Cover would stay attached.
