Deck Help forum

Posted on Feb. 21, 2015, 1:17 p.m. by shepherdofire

I want to make a r/g deck that uses Roar of Challenge and creatures and spells like Temur Battle Rage with double strike to dominate a turn 5 win. Also I have 2 Dragon-Style Twins and I would like to know if they are good in this deck? Please any suggestions or mock up decks (if you wish) would be helpful. This is for standard format and looking for a competitive final product. Thank you for your time. May the mana evuh be in your favor.

Personally, if you are okay with a 3rd color, Aqeous(?) Form is pretty good.

I think this could be good versus other proactive decks, but it would probably get blown out by reactive ones. If you want to build something like this, I would suggest taking a look at your meta and see if something like this would be viable.

I would definitely not run Dragon-Style Twins because of the 3 toughness - it's removed SO easily for a 5-drop. If you added blue for Aqueous Form you could also throw in Icy Blast to help tap things down to swing for the fences.

If your going to use a double striker in R/G Prophetic Flamespeaker is better than Dragon-Style Twins imo because its 2 mana cheaper and comes with trample and card advantage at the cost of 2 power but you have plenty of ways to buff things in green and red. :3

So should I add ensoul and ornithopter then?
