Nekusar, the Mindrazer and Leyline of Sanctity

I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong section. I could not find a forum for rules questions. I was playing my Nekusar, the Mindrazer EDH deck when my wife played Leyline of Sanctity . It created an awkward situation of trying to figure out if my commander's text is a static affect on the board or is it an ability? How about with Font of Mythos on the board as well? I get a little confused with these cards because they do not say "target" player. It says "whenever a player" or "each player". So any clarification would be helpful, thanks.

Nekusar, the Mindrazer 's abilities are both triggered abilities. They are not static abilities.
A spell or ability only targets if it uses the word target. If it doesn't say target, then it doesn't target.

As for your question, Nekusar and Font of Mythos do not target, therefore Leyline of Sanctity does not protect against them. :3
