Simple question: generally speaking is Jace, the Mind Sculptor good in EDH?
From what I understand he's decent but nowhere near what he is in other formats. As you can probably tell, I don't know much about EDH.

all of his abilities are relevant and if you play in big groups, it is easier to ultimate him. That being said, he isn't as great as in other formats but he is still pretty good.

Don't ever trust the tappedout card database for card legality, it's all manually maintained. Always check the official lists.
Yes, JTMS is very good in EDH control decks for all the reasons zandl said.

@notamardybum: TappedOut's system is not an authority on card legalities, unfortunately. There are always bugs with this card or that.
@julianjmoss: WOTC is not the authority on EDH. All information about EDH, including the rules and ban/legality information, comes from the EDH Rules Committee - the third-party group that founded the format.
JTMS is good in EDH, but for different reasons. In 60-card, it's a game-winner and an advantage engine. In EDH, it's normally just an advantage engine. It rarely wins games, and its primary role is to support your strategy.

I will warn you that he dies/gets countered/gets tucked pretty quickly since he is a force to be reckoned with.

He's decent. He's still Fateseal 1, Unsummon , and Brainstorm on a stick; all 3 have their uses in EDH.
