GUILDS OF RAVNICA/MYTHIC EDITION UPDATE —Oct. 5, 2018

Ravnica is back! And has brought some fancy new cards. Really excited to see how it shakes up every format. Not too many changes will be happening with this deck anymore due to essentially relying on Wizards printing cool new Dragons. Still working on getting some alters done for this deck on the legendary Dragons that I know won't leave the deck so as soon as I got those done, they'll probably replace these deck updates if nothing get's added. But this update is essentially completely the Sarhkan paradox.

Sarkhan, Fireblood > Vivien Reid

  • Honestly, I was suprised how little impact she had on the game. The initial card draw was nice and removal was cool. Never got the ultimate but by the time this comes down in the game, she was super vulnerable. Sarkhan allows for early ramp and looting on turn 3 which is a very low threat point in the game. There is a chance we could get to the ultimate if this goes uncontested in the early turns but it's not really his main objective.

Very nice decklist, lots of inspiration. Selvala is quite spendy though, do you have a budget alternative? The other Selvala perhaps?

How do you feel about Kaalia of the Vast? Is 4 mana just too much investment for something that will likely just get instantly removed?
