I am considering adding Mindshrieker to the deck and possibly even integrating aggro illusions just so I can last until temple charges up.

Yeah, gotta love em' sea monsters! I am thinking about including Kederekt Leviathan against crowded decks, but I just dunno.

in my opinion, the biggest and baddest sea monster would have to be Lorthos, the Tidemaker

Agreed, but 8 mana for his special ability is just too much in modern. Now if it had pay (x), tap (x)...oh, sweet tentacles!
