I ended up putting Rune-Scarred Demon back in the deck and cut Karn Liberated instead. I didn't want to increase my average cmc at all so a 7 for a 7 worked out well. Karn is out because even though black has difficulty with certain types of permanents, 7 mana sorcery speed remove anything is still lackluster. I rarely wanted to tutor for him and there isn't much in my playgroup that can straight up shut me down to where a Karn is my only out. I still have Ugin and Oblivion Stone to deal with problems if I need it.
Rune-Scarred Demon come back in because he has a a lot more synergy with the deck. He can be pitched to Liliana and reanimated, he's a body to sacrifice for whatever reason I may need, he is abusable with Mikaeus or Nim Deathmantle in play, and he generally fits my gameplan better than Karn.
Ob Nixilis comes out because his abilities at 5 mana are slow. I don't think a 5 mana Phyrexian Arena that you can attack to kill is worth it anymore. 5 mana sorcery speed Murder isn't great either. Of course his value grows over time, but he puts a pretty big target on his back. Wretched Confluence does everything Ob Nixilis does at instant speed.
