Long River Lurker

Creature — Frog Scout

Ward (Whenever this creature becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, counter it unless that player pays .)

Other Frogs you control have ward .

When this enters the battlefield, target creature you control can't be blocked this turn. Whenever that creature deals combat damage this turn, you may exile it. If you do, return it to the battlefield under its owner's control.

Change Log:

10/9/25 - Removed Lilysplash Mentor for Long River Lurker - Thought process being the ward 1 was more relvant and it can get me double efficiency on bounce effects by flickering it and its ETB causing another.

10/13/25 - Removed Long River Lurker for a 3rd Dreamdew Entrancer. I find many games are decided by if I have Dreamdew online in time. I want to increase the odds I draw at least one. Likely will try to fit one in the board as well.

Thanks Bookrook! Long River Lurker was one of the last cuts I made during brewing. It might be worth keeping in the sideboard for the ward ability though.. And to push through damage... I might just need to test with more of him...

Virtue of Knowledge I hadn't considered. It would take the same space as Proft's Eidetic Memory and Gossip's Talent - Definitely more testing to do.

Thanks for the read!
