Rules Q&A
Darksteel Garrison
Artifact — Fortification
Fortified land is indestructible.
Whenever fortified land becomes tapped, target creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.
Fortify (: Attach this to target land you control. Fortify only as a sorcery. This card enters the battlefield unattached and stays in play if the land leaves the battlefield.)

Legendary Creature - Elemental
Soulbond
As long as ~ is paired with another creature, each of those creatures has "Whenever you cast a multicolored spell, put a +1/+1 counter on this creature, then you may remove three +1/+1 counters from it. If you do, copy target instant or sorcery spell you control.”
Either another familiar or a fortification (a la Darksteel Garrison).

The Great Maze
Legendary Artifact- Fortification
Fortified land loses all non-mana abilities and gains ": Untap target attacking creature. Prevent all combat damage that would be dealt to and dealt by that creature this turn."
Fortify
I think Fortifications should definitely be brought back. There's so much potential there.
Repeat this challenge. Make a fortification like Darksteel Garrison.

FWIW, "Fortification" is already a thing, albeit a placeholder mechanic. See Darksteel Garrison.
Tsarrikh, Scourge of Ifnir
Legendary Creature - Scorpion Hydra
Tsarrikh, Scoure of Ifnir enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it for each mana spent to cast it.
Whenever a creature enters the battlefield, you may remove a +1/+1 counter from Tsarrikh. If you do, put a -1/-1 counter on that creature.
Whenever a creature dies, if it had a -1/-1 counter on it, put two +1/+1 counters on Tsarrikh.
"We severed its head expecting two more to grow, but something far more nightmarish sprouted forth."
Make an actual fortification, a la Darksteel Garrison.

Ambushed With Spears
Instant
Target creature you control fights target creature you don't control. If the creature you control has first strike, it deals damage equal to its power to target creature instead.
Make a Fortification artifact. See Darksteel Garrison.

Phyrexian Compleation
Enchantment - Equipment Saga
Equip
: Put an artifact counter on equipped creature (a creature with an artifact counter counts as an artifact creature).
: Put a +1/+1 counter on equipped creature. The next spell you cast that targets equipped creature this turn may be cast without paying its mana cost.
: Put an infect counter on equipped creature.
Not a big deal, but I do feel that this would want to be an Aura rather than an equipment, in terms of how card typing works.
Make a fortification, in the vein of Darksteel Garrison

Redemption Seeker
Creature - Vampire Spirit
Flying, lifelink.
When Redemption Seeker dies, return it to the battlefield. It's an Aura enchantment with "enchanted creature has flying and lifelink" and attach it to target creature you control.
2/2
Make a new fortification, in the vein of Darksteel Garrison .

Leptos, Void Nymph
Legendary Planeswalker - Leptos
As long as it is your turn, Leptos planeswalkers you control count toward the number of enchantments you control.
+1 Target enchanted creature gains lifelink until end of turn.
-2 Destroy target non-enchantment you don't control. You lose 4 life if its CMC is greater than 5.

Make an artifact with Fortification (like Darksteel Garrison)

Mark Rosewater posted this article, today, in which he explains the likelihood of each of the "future shifted" cards from Future Sight ever being reprinted.
Some of his ratings do not bother me, but several do: specifically, I am very displeased that he said that Bitter Ordeal, Darksteel Garrison, and Fleshwrither were all unlikely to be reprinted, since I am very fond of all of those cards, and feel that they all have much unexplored potential.
What does everyone else say about this article? How do you feel about Rosewater's ratings of those cards? Why not reprint them in a non-standard set?
