Zenlypop on Animar, X creatures and protection

Hi Nunu312, thank you for taking the time to share your comments, especially since they are very interesting! I will try these suggestions, Clement, the Worrywort particularly catches my attention. Defilor of Vigor has already been in my thoughts. I will test it with the other Defilors.

I feel like you are underplaying some of the angles that you can use with Animar.

Because you have a lot of X creatures, proliferate is also going to be quite strong, though you may not want to pivot into it entirely. Even a little with cards like Tezzeret's Gambit can help you do something as well as tack on that extra counter on everything.

Similarly, with Animar, you don't have to always have a steady stream of creatures to draw into, instead you can return your own creatures to your hand and cast them again. Clement, the Worrywort would allow you to repeatedly recast creatures to get those enter battlefield effects, though there are many similar cards.

The final angle that might help is the defilers, Defiler of Dreams Defiler of Instinct and Defiler of Vigor will help you cut back on the one thing Animar doesn't... those coloured mana symbols.
