prototype deck went 2-2. Marginally lost the first round 2-1 to knights deck but it was very closeround 2 lost 2-0 to U/W control. got completely mana screwed both games which stopped me getting thrun down quick enough to deal with JTMSround 3 won 2-0 against aggro infect G/Bround 4 won 2-1 against U/B infect-proliferate deck

based on the evening I took out my walls and a few spells to add 3 cultivate and 3 squadron hawk. deck now runs smoothly.

went 3-1. beat glistening elf aggro infect 2-0, tempered steel 2-0 (after mulliganing to 6 when my opponent had godhand!) and 2-1 against the mirror.Lost 1-2 against grand architect/birthing pod. close games but thus was a truely nasty deck.came 3rd.

FNM event. went 2-0 against RDW pioleted by one of manchesters best players. lost 0-2 to W/U/G venser-pod, went 2-0 against mono green beasties and went 2-0 against tempered steel

As much as I love Pirates they just can't compete in Standard.
Maybe as a flavour in Modern or maybe Commander with the support of older cards.

This deck will be retired :-(

Enchantments were the death of my deck, I was able to give them a few good hits but my cards where wither exiled or destroyed while attacking.

I will have to consider putting in a 3rd colour or applying some sort of control that falls …

the deck was weak against enchantments and control decks, however it can handle burn decks if the opponent over estimates the deck, especially when you ramp up creatures with Prepare / Fight
