Well if you want to tap/untap your own creatures the inspired ability goes well, but there are not many worth using. You could also look for cards with similar wording to Renegade Wheelsmith and Stonybrook Schoolmaster.
Otherwise there are a couple cards like Azami, Lady of Scrolls that allows you to tap your own creatures to draw cards and then you could untap and repeat.
If you are targeting your opponent's creatures here are a few cards you could use:

This is a fun idea! You might appreciate these: Urza, Academy Headmaster, Flow of Ideas (shadowmoor art), Gaze of Pain, Memory Plunder, Advice from the Fae, Mayael the Anima, Destructive Urge, Eternal Warrior, Imposing Visage (both arts are great), Insolence, Ironclaw Curse, Mark of Fury, Orcish Oriflamme (7th edition), Kiss of Death, Memory Drain, Peer into the Abyss

Seriously though, who do you root for if Bolas and the Phyrexians clashed?
Dominaria has such a rich lore that it makes me happy to see them paying homage to various major points in the story. We also spent so much time on Dominaria that I personally feel much more attached to the storyline of that plane than any other. I will never forget the "oh crap" moment for the Dominarians depicted in No Mercy, or Darigaaz finally revolting against Rith in Insolence (those flavor texts though).
I kind of hope that with the return to the single large set format we can spend more time (multiple sets) on various planes. It is cool and all to go to new planes and see/experience new things, but I don't feel we spend enough time on each plane to really connect with it. Plus the constant shifting planes is a bit jarring to the flow of the story at times.

You can put as many Lavamancer's Skill as you want on a single creature. There is no rule limiting the number of auras a creature can be enchanted with. However, this doesn't help you deal more damage in this case. Only one of the Lavamancer's Skill's abilities can be activated at a time. The damage dealt will be 1 (or 2 if using the other ability with a wizard). Activated abilities are like keyword abilities like first strike in that they don't stack. To get additional damage like what you're proposing, you'd need something like the triggered ability on Insolence.
