the reason this deck has been working well for me is exactly because it goes in multiple directions but not because I have to focus it. a good portion of the creatures and card advantage I.e. Underworld Connections builds up black devotion and if I happen to hit a gray merchant or mogis it's like a free fireball, if not they're okay creatures on their own. in the instance it's not profitable for me to swing in I can sit back until I do hit a devotion creature or playing creatures into Purphoros etb effect.
the only deck I've had trouble in my meta with this so far is mono black devotion because it's got good removal, bigger flying creatures, and big devotion fireballs.
I like to think of this build as red deck wins with 2 color devotion. rakdos devotion wins, if you will.
so I posted the board I have for it so far but it's still not where I want it.
Electrickery ruins blue devotion which is popular
the removal hits pretty much anything
Dark Prophecy is great against creature control because it maintains my card advantage...1 for 1 no longer applies and if I get verdicted it helps me dig to my Cerberus. The triple black is nice for my black devotion too.
I just think your deck would be much better if you get rid of some of the cute things, like Silence ...as much as i love it, the best thing it does is stall your opponent...and from what, an inevitable Supreme Verdict ? why not just Boros Charm and make everything indestructible and make them waste their card.
Hammer of Purphoros benefits you in no way with spike jester and ash zealot, so you could do without this artifact or put it in sideboard versus control
is cool...but you don't run blue, you don't run black devotion and there's only a 60% likelyhood of that actually benefiting you in the ways of card advantage.
Titan's Strength , Madcap Skills , Dragon Mantle are all good and well, until your creature gets removed in response, or wait until you tap out to do Firebreathing from your Dragon Mantle and kill it in response.
I feel like your deck slows itself down, it's confused on whether or not its midrange or agro, and the cmc on your creatures is so difficult, there is a high likelyhood of not curving out properly and consistently.
The reason I made the changes to support midrange, is because the creatures you have are strong, remove a few cute things and your creatures are hard to deal with in combination with your own solid removal package. or you could go the opposite spectrum and remove things like tajic for things like Firedrinker Satyr
