Your updated list looks solid, by the way! I have Emerge Unscathed on my list of potentials, and the synergy with prowess is an idea I'm jumbling as well. I was looking at a few R/W lists that make use of Kiln Fiend, but there's a sentimental fool inside me who's calling for green because the overall concept reminds me of my very first deck 20-some years ago, LOL.

I'm currently working on a deck build featuring Savage Punch, Epic Confrontation and Snake Umbra but with a little one stealing most of my time, it might be a while before I come up with a completed deck list. I also really want to try out a version that looks more like yours to see which play style I'd enjoy more. MTG is a casual/social hobby of mine, so fun is always the main factor :)

I'm building a G/W heroic pauper deck for myself and came across this on in my search for inspiration. I like the idea of using heaps of cantrips to keep your hand full! I had been considering Snake Umbra for card draw, but it's definitely a different strategy. I can't speak for what's better just yet :)

A buddy of mine pulled a Leonin Warleader from a 2019 booster and showed it to me. It makes me think a G/W version of this deck would be feasible - maybe even more so than what I've come up with so far, but I have to admit I am very much attached to the idea of combining Hungry Lynx with Crypt Rats, which is also why I haven't made room for Night of Souls' Betrayal. I appreciate the suggestion, though, and have added it to the maybe list for consideration :-)

Motherhood has been laying claim to the majority of my time these last few months, so my dear cats & rats have been on the back burner until recently. Today I present to you a much improved version 3.0.
In this tight new version I have ditched the weaker links Adaptive Automaton and Mimic Vat. I toyed around with the idea of adding +1 Lightning Greaves and +1 Canopy Cover because my precious kitties have been getting a lot of hate, but in a meta game with a lot of Wrath of God and a deck where most creatures have CMC<4, it dawned on me that Unearth would make a much better fit.
These improvements have really moved the deck up the ranks, and I'm now convinced it will find a cozy spot in my permanent collection.
