Which end step?

Asked by Sinisterkid 8 years ago

Thatcher Revolt says that the tokens have to be sacrificed at the next end step. Is this the end step at the end of my current turn, or the end step of the next turn?

The "next end step" is exactly that: the very next end step that the game encounters. Because Thatcher Revolt is a sorcery, it's generally likely that the next end step will be yours because it's generally likely that you'll be casting Thatcher Revolt on your own main phase. If, for whatever reason, you skip your end step, then the next end step will likely be your opponent's.

Worth noting that if you cast it during an end step (with the help of Quicken or something similar), then the tokens will not be sacrificed during that end step. They will be sacrificed on the next one.
