Trostani, Selesyna's Voice and Blade of Selves

I read else where about the interactions between Trostani, Selesyna's Voice populating a token made by Blade of Selves but I'm trying to confirm the if it works for my own sake. For example I have Trostani, Selesyna's Voice out, Blade of Selves equipped to Resplendent Angel and I go to combat phase. With 3 opponents total, it creates 2 additional angels attacking. Am I able to populate one of those tokens with Trostani, and have it last past the combat phase? If so, at which point do I populate that allows this to work

In the future, please use the Rules Q&A section of the forums when you have questions about cards and card interactions. Rules Q&A has some added functionality, such as automatically linking questions regarding cards to that card's page, so future users looking at the card can quickly see any related rules questions. It also has the added function of a "Mark as Answer" button, so you can let people know your question has been resolved.

Yes it works because the exile of the tokens made by Selves is a delayed trigger, it happens at the end of combat. This gives you a window during combat only after Declare Attackers Step, any time there's a stop in combat (Declare Blockers Step) to populate the token with Trostani. Selves will not recognize the copied token from populate of Trostani since it's a new instance of that token. Therefore the token is not exiled after combat.
