Storm mechanic vs Redirected Ability

I'm aware that storm is a triggered ability. If there is a card on the stack that lets someone Redirect target ability (ie Deflecting Swat) could that redirect the storm's ability copy a spell to a different spell?

Example. Spell count = 20 > Grapeshot > storm ability triggers> deflecting swat (targeted at the ability)

No, you can not Redirect a Storm trigger.

The trigger on Storm does not target. The Storm trigger reads "When you cast this spell, copy it for each other spell that was cast before it this turn. If the spell has any targets, you may choose new targets for any of the copies." This is why countering the original spell doesn't fizzle the trigger.
