Question regarding the *Cipher* mechanic
Asked by Thundagawd 8 years ago
I'm working on an Esper Cipher & Extort deck, and I want to know if you are able to encrypt more than one Cipher on a single creature? If so, can you Cipher 2 instances of the same spell on that creature?
For Example, would it be possible to Cipher 2 instances of Hands of Binding onto, say, Invisible Stalker, and be able to trigger both of those whenever he deals damage to the opponent?

Awesome, thanks! Was having trouble figuring out how it worked, I was afraid you could only choose to trigger a single spell upon dealing the damage.

Yes and yes. Cipher doesn't create any special restrictions about how many different cards or how many of a certain card may be encoded onto a permanent. And the trigger event is the same for all cipher cards, so one trigger event will trigger the ability of each card encoded onto the relevant creature.
