Question about Baral

If I have Baral, Chief of Compliance on the battlefield, and Take into Custody in hand, can I put Take into Custody on the battlefield for free? or do I still gotta pay his cost because that's not colorless mana? Thanks!

Yes, you have to pay . Baral reduces the costs of instants and sorceries by 1 generic mana.
